The Opportunity ( Social Service Specialist ii-3 in-training):
Our Arlington field role is searching for a front-line, Adoptions CFWS Specialist who will evaluate family situations, interview children and their families, assess risk, and develop plans that focus on protecting children. This individual ensures that children are provided the tools and comfort they demand in order to thrive inside their designated placement. Additionally, the CFWS Specialist volition sympathize and respect the strengths of families and their heritage, behavior, and values, and provide culturally competent case management services. Some of what you will do:
- Assess delivery of services and permanency planning that is inclusive of immediate family unit, extended family, kin, and children (every bit appropriate)
- Provide permanency planning case management for children on out-of-abode placement, which may include guardianship, adoption, long-term foster care, or other arrangements as indicated.
- Conduct habitation visits, participate in shared meetings and activities with law enforcement to complete tasks.

- Monitor the wellness and safe of children through visitation and ensure connected prophylactic and well-beingness for the child.
- Develop and monitor individual service and voluntary service plans with families to address safety threats and risks.
- Prepare and file dependency petitions, guardianship petitions, and other legal documents
- Develop strengths-based and client-involved service plans that are culturally relevant, ADA-sensitive, and individualized.
- Assess resource needs of children, birth parents, and caregivers and provide placement and placement stabilization supports.
What we are looking for:
Required Qualifications for a Social Service Specialist 3:
1 yr equally a Social Service Specialist 2.
OR
Bachelor'due south in social services, man services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field AND two years as a Social Service Specialist ii or equivalent paid social service experience.
OR
Master's caste in social services, homo services, behavioral sciences, or an allied field AND 1 twelvemonth as a Social Service Specialist ii or equivalent paid social service experience. A practicum will be substituted for the one year of paid social service feel.
Required Qualifications for the Social Service Specialist 2 level:
